Teradata (NYSE: TDC), the connected multi-cloud data platform for enterprise analytics company, today announced the appointment of Corrine Murphy to the role of Vice President and Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand. Leading operations across the two markets, Murphy will be responsible for accelerating the company’s market-leading cloud and data capabilities in the region, overseeing Teradata’s local sales, marketing, channel, customer success and operations. Murphy succeeds Noel Pettitt who stepped down from his position but remained with Teradata through the end of December 2021 to support a smooth transition.

Murphy is a highly experienced executive with deep knowledge across all aspects of business leadership including enterprise operations, sales and delivery, as well as customer success and employee engagement. Her expertise spans information technology, customer experience, partner and channel management, sales and software development, with an excellent track record in leading and transforming organisations.

Joining Teradata from Civica, where she served as Director of Centralised Services for two years, Murphy’s career spans more than 20 years working in Sydney, Singapore and Europe. She has served as Director of Strategy and Operations, Unisys APJ and COO, Deutsche Bank SMT, and has also held positions with CSC and IBM.

“Teradata’s longstanding heritage in data combined with advanced cloud capabilities has enabled us to build a powerful and unique proposition, and I am thrilled to welcome someone of Corrine’s talent to further expand the impact we are having on the ANZ business landscape,” said Keith Budge, Executive Vice President, Asia Pacific and Japan at Teradata. “Our transformation to cloud-first is accelerating, and Corrine’s comprehensive knowledge and experience will help navigate new and exciting opportunities for Teradata as the connected multi-cloud data platform for enterprise analytics.”

“It has been a year like no other and businesses across the board continue to face unchartered territory as they look ahead into 2022. This means the reliance on data and cloud-based technologies – which deliver critical insights, faster, for more informed decision making – has never been greater,” said Murphy. “With an unparalleled data platform that gives enterprises exactly what they need to help them succeed, it is an exciting time in Teradata’s journey, and I am excited to join such an energetic, customer-centric organisation, and to lead such a high calibre and committed team.”

Budge continued: “We are firmly focussed on a fast start in 2022, centring on our partner ecosystem and customer enablement. Over the next 6-12 months we will concentrate on delivering cloud migrations with greater speed and simplification - providing the cost savings, flexibility and agility they need to exceed their own customer expectations and meet aggressive growth ambitions.”

“On behalf of the entire Teradata team, I want to express sincere gratitude for everything Noel has contributed during his years with the company. We appreciate his support in facilitating a seamless transition as he passes on the baton and wish Noel all the very best in his next chapter.”
