As-a-service program accelerates client innovation in advanced analytics, delivers strategic business outcomes

Most businesses continue to face serious challenges in advanced analytics. According to Gartner, “The lack of in-house data and analytics skills, especially in advanced analytics, and the ability to apply data science and analytics to different business contexts will continue to force enterprises to seek Consulting and Implementation services from external providers.”1 Today, Teradata (NYSE: TDC), the leading data and analytics company, addresses those challenges with the introduction of The Agile Analytics Factory: an end-to-end program that can help clients overcome the obstacles they face on their analytics journey, including the inability to operationalize analytics and data science use cases, address data governance issues or create repeatable analytic processes.

Teradata’s Agile Analytics Factory provides data science skills and analytics expertise as a service to deliver systemic and repeatable analytic capabilities. The program also applies data management practices, employs agile delivery methods, and works across technology and business functions to reduce costs and complexity in data and analytic environments.

At Bankia, a leading financial institution in Spain, Teradata is helping execute a multichannel transformation strategy. Teradata agile analytics services include an operational data science initiative to improve customer experience, increase multichannel sales, and create an Operations Excellence Center. Leveraging AI, the Center facilitates industrialization and automation of analytic processes. Bankia is working to operationalize 200 models, with 3000 variables daily, through improved resource utilization and productivity. This project is the focus of a session to be led by Diana Diaz Agrela, head of Bankia’s Advanced Analytics and Big Data program, at the Teradata PARTNERS conference on Monday, October 23.

“The Agile Analytics Factory provides clients with the breadth and depth of expertise, services, technology and business IP they need to accelerate their analytic agenda,” said Dan Harrington, Executive Vice President, Consulting & Support Services. “The program is built on experience that Teradata has applied to address the most complex analytic challenges for some of the most innovative companies in the world, who trust Teradata as an acknowledged analytics leader and a strategic business partner.”

The Agile Analytics Factory takes advantage of Teradata business IP including the AnalyticOps Accelerator and industry data models. The AnalyticOps Accelerator facilitates the generation, validation, deployment, and management of deep learning models at scale. This accelerator moves projects from conception to production in weeks rather than months, reducing costs and time to market while improving quality, governance, scalability and auditability. In addition, newly enhanced industry data models make it faster and easier to execute an analytics project because they support new industry-specific use cases and high value data sources. Leveraging this IP, clients can swiftly integrate emerging data sources such as IoT sensor feeds with traditional data sources to address strategic analytic objectives, such as condition-based maintenance for high value industrial assets.

The Agile Analytics Factory capitalizes on leading practices and IP from Teradata’s Velocity services portfolio. Velocity is Teradata’s Global Services portfolio of high value offers to help companies at any stage of their analytics journey, from advising on analytic strategies and developing analytic roadmaps, to architecting and implementing diverse analytical ecosystems, to optimizing and managing the environment to ensure maximum business value realization.

The Agile Analytics Factory, as well as the Velocity portfolio of services, will be showcased this week at the Teradata PARTNERS Conference in Anaheim, where attendees can learn more by visiting the Teradata exhibit.
