Teradata is Launch Partner for New AWS Features

Teradata is Launch Partner for New AWS Features

Teradata is excited to be a launch partner for a brand-new capability from Amazon Web Services (AWS): the EBS Multi-Attach feature which allows a single Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) volume to be accessed from multiple Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instances.

With this new capability,  Teradata will be able to increase the resiliency, availability and reliability of Teradata Vantage, delivered as-a-service on AWS.  It will ultimately lead to a better customer experience and SLAs for our customer’s mission-critical workloads across a wide range of use cases and industry segments.

We have formed a strong partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) so our customers can take advantage of AWS’s scale, speed, reliability and security capabilities while relying on the data analytics of Vantage. This enables them to focus on what’s important—finding answers to their toughest business challenges.

Teradata Vantage, delivered as-a-service on AWS, leverages multiple storage types to allow customers to see data from across the entire organization in one place, whenever it's needed, with preferred languages and tools.

Teradata Vantage delivered as-a-service leverages Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) to store persistent data that needs to be accessed often with strict performance SLAs.

It also uses the EC2 instance memory to store small amounts of data that are queried often and Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) for large volumes of data in data lakes.

This is a testament to the close working relationship between Teradata and AWS, a relationship that enables us to offer the latest technologies to our joint customers.
